Timos health update (Timo the Ragdoll Cat)

 

We went to a specialistic animal centre The specialist made an ultrasound and took a biopsy of Timo s kidneys under light sedation it all went well Now we have to wait 10 a 14 days before we get the results The specialist don t suspect lymphoma or tumor but the situation is still very worrisome especially because of his young age 6 years He thinks the renal faillure is going on for a while but the dental procedure anaesthetic and meds triggered it and made it worse We have to wait for the results of the test so they can give the right treatment In the meanwhile we give him daily subcutane fluids Semintra medication and diet food They are also going to check his red blood cells because he might have anemia as well We also asked the specialist if the recent problems with the Koi fish could be related with Timo s illness but he doubt that would be the case his kidneys were sick for a longer period of time only we didn t knew Timo lost a lot of weight and fur Because of the treatments they also shaved his belly His throat is bold as well because it got irritated after wearing a cap for a while during hospitalization So happy to see him chilling at the pond The 7 remaining Koi are still alive and doing well You can check out Timo s Instagram account for updates
